A Class Exchange with the University of Wisconsin-Superior (U.S.)(Tuesday, November 1)

On the morning of Tuesday, November 1, 12 students enrolled in the "Studies in Particular Field," a course of the Global English Program, had an online exchange with 17 Japanese language students from the University of Wisconsin-Superior (U.S.), one of Ibaki University's partner universities.

This course incorporates COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning), a method of education in which students from two or more universities in two or more countries are connected online and study together under the supervision of faculty members from both universities.

During the class exchange on November 1, each group conducted actual fieldwork.
Group 1 walked around campus and conducted the fieldwork on the students' life at the university, Group 2 interviewed people on campus about the impact of the COVID-19 on their lives, and Group 3 visited the Kasama Inari Shrine to investigate traditional Japanese customs.

The final presentations for this fieldwork project will be held on Wednesday, November 16!
