Origami workshop event(Saturday, December 4)

On Saturday, December 4, 2021, we organized an origami workshop event using "ZOOM," the online conference system. 51 students and faculty/staff members of Ibaraki University and its overseas partner universities participated in this event.

Prior to the event, participants (including those from abroad) received origami papers and learned how to fold penguin, Mt. Fuji, and crane under the guidance of the expert of the Japan Origami Association. At the last part of the event, participants were divided into small groups and had a group discussion.

Participants commented that "The session was easy to follow and understand despite the different nationalities present as they use use dual language to make sure everyone feel included" and "Its my first time contact with origami and didn't realize that I would fall in love with this short session of Japanese culture."
