Online discussion about a movie “The Cats of Mirikitani” (Wednesday, 19th of January)

On January 19, we organized the online discussion on the film “Cats of Mirikitani (Special Edition)”. This event was held as part of the two classes of the faculty members from Center for Global Education, Diversity and Social Issues in Japan B and Intercultural Training Method B; while it was open to the Ibaraki University students, staff, and faculty members as well. In this event, we had group discussions regarding from incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII to current immigration issues in Japan and other parts of the world, etc., and discussed what we can do for the society. Participants commented “I was able to know about Japanese American history,” “I was glad to hear experiences from international students.”
