Seminar Hosted by the Japanese Language Education Program (Tuesday, June 7)

On Tuesday, June 7, the Japanese Language Education Program hosted a seminar, "Learning and Working in the U.S." 18 people participated in the classroom and 16 people participated online.

At the seminar, Dr. Yuki Yoshimura, who teaches at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, spoke about studying Japanese language education at an American graduate school and working as a Japanese language teacher at an American university.

Participants commented, "I never thought of going to graduate school overseas, but this lecture was very valuable just to realize that there is such an option," and "I had never seen or heard such realistic and concrete ideas about teaching Japanese overseas, so it was very stimulating."
