Lecture for high school students(Wednesday, Augst 3)

On Wednesday, August 3, , Aoki Sensei and Seo Sensei of the Center for Global Education gave a lecture titled "Enjoying Differences: The First Step Toward Multicultural Conviviality" to 14 high school students in Ibaraki prefecture.

In the lecture, students first played the simulation game "Barnga" to experience cross-cultural communication, and discussed the difficulty of entering a different culture and how it can be solved. Then, they learned about "microaggressions" and discussed about discrimination that they may unknowingly commit.

Students who took the course positively commented that they enjoyed learning through the discussions.
