iOP Tutorial “Questioning the 'common sense' of Language Learning" (Monday,November 27)

In the iOP tutorial "Questioning the 'common sense' of Language Learning" held in the third quarter, we have been reading a book by Ryuko Kubota (2018) "English Education Illusion" (Chikuma Shinsho) and discussing various discourses commonly held about English education and other language learning. At the final presentation on November 27, students made presentations under topics "Whose English should we learn?,” "The pros and cons of All English classes," and "How should we answer the question, 'Why do we study English?.” Each presentation was followed by a lively discussion among the five participants.
