Joint disaster prevention drill with Mito-city

A joint disaster prevention drill was conducted on September 26, 2024, at the International House of Ibaraki University with the support of Disaster Prevention and Risk Management Division of Mito City, Mito City International Association, and the Mito Gender Equality Association. A total of 16 international students participated.

Residents of the International House were first lectured on disaster prevention, experienced using fire extinguishers, and stayed at evacuation shelters. They were also lectured on tools and methods for making meals in an emergency and given emergency food prepared using that method. After that they practiced fire evacuation behavior using what they had learned.
