Classroom Collaboration between Japanese Language Training Course Level 3 (General) and Mito Daini High School Students (December 11, Thursday)

On Thursday, December 11, 2025, four international students enrolled in the Japanese Language Training Course Level 3 (General) visited Mito Daini High School and participated in a classroom exchange with approximately 320 first-year students.
The exchange included:

・Self-introductions and presentations about their home countries in Japanese by the international students
・Presentations on Japanese culture in English by the high school students
・A free discussion mixing both Japanese and English

Although the international students were initially a little nervous, they gradually relaxed and responded to questions with smiles, engaging actively in the exchange. They shared impressions such as:

"It was my first time entering a Japanese school, and I noticed many differences from my own high school."
"I was happy to see that the high school students were interested in our presentations."
The high school students also commented:
"I learned about countries I only knew by name, and now I want to visit them someday."
"I became interested in languages other than English."
"Seeing the international students working hard to speak Japanese made me want to study English more."

We hope that through these interactions with people from diverse backgrounds in the community, both sides will deepen their interest in and understanding of each other.
