Ibaraki Prefectural University of Health Sciences × Ibaraki University　International Exchange Event: “Takoyaki Party” (Thursday, December 18)

On December 18, 2025 (Thursday), the International Circle of Ibaraki Prefectural University of Health Sciences (IPUHS) hosted a “Takoyaki Party” on campus. The event was designed to promote interaction between IPUHS and Ibaraki University students. Four international students from Ibaraki University and seven Japanese students from IPUHS participated.

Participants enjoyed making takoyaki together in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Conversations flowed in both Japanese and English, with students sharing their cultures and campus life. International students commented, “It was great to talk directly with Japanese students” and “Making takoyaki for the first time was so much fun.” Japanese students said, “It was a valuable opportunity to interact with international students” and “We’d love to have more events like this.”

This event provided a meaningful opportunity to deepen cross-cultural understanding and expand student networks. Both universities look forward to continuing initiatives that foster international exchange and collaboration.
