Japanese Field Study B Zazen experience(Friday, December 19)
On December 19 (Fri.), twenty two international students participated in a zazen experience as part of the Japan Experience B class. In the pre-departure training, the students studied the history and basic knowledge of zazen, and on an actual day, they experienced Japanese culture through the zazen experience at Gionji Temple. In the post-experience reflection, many participants commented that the time spent quietly facing themselves in silence not only deepened their understanding of Japanese culture, but also provided an opportunity for self-reflection and personal insight.
