“Malaysia Short-Term Overseas Training Program” (Monday, March 9 – Friday, March 27) has Begun
On Sunday, March 8, six students arrived in Penang, Malaysia, and the program at Universiti Sains Malaysia began the following day, March 9.
Penang, where the program takes place, is located in northwestern Malaysia and has long prospered as a hub of regional trade. It is a culturally diverse island with a rich historical background. In its capital, George Town, many historical buildings remain, and the charming cityscape—recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site—continues to draw visitors from around the world. The state as a whole is also economically developed and is known for its harmonious blend of nature and urban life.
During the three‑week program, the students will visit local middle and high schools, companies, and various cultural institutions. They will also interact with students from Universiti Sains Malaysia, deepening their understanding of local education, business, culture, and more. In addition, they aim to further improve their English proficiency through English classes offered at Universiti Sains Malaysia.
The participating students are sharing updates and impressions from their time in Malaysia on this page, so please take a look.
