Student-Led Summer Interaction Activity with Children (Wednesday, August 5)

At an after-school childcare facility that has kindly supported the Japanese Language Training Course classes, 11 international and domestic students interacted with the children through play. While the Japanese Language Training Course has previously carried out a project introducing games from various countries as part of its curriculum, this time the activity was held outside of class, with students freely playing and interacting with the children during their summer vacation.

Students and children were divided into several groups and enjoyed a variety of games together, including karuta (Japanese card game), trump cards, and Pop-Up Pirate. As this was a casual exchange outside the framework of the class project, the students interacted with the children in a relaxed manner, naturally building communication with them.

Such interactions outside of class also serve as a valuable opportunity to strengthen the connection between students and the local community. Going forward, we look forward to continuing this kind of exchange in various forms.
