Ibaraki University International Alumni Association Held its General Meeting (Saturday, October 10)

On Saturday, October 10, 2026, the General Meeting of the Ibaraki University International Alumni Association, an organization of former international students who graduated from Ibaraki University, was held on the Mito Campus. A total of nine participants attended, including alumni (former international students and former tutors), current students, and faculty and staff members.

The meeting began with opening remarks from Director Ikeda, followed by a report from the Association President on the activities conducted during the previous and current fiscal years. Participants also exchanged views on future projects and plans, engaging in constructive and lively discussions aimed at further enhancing the activities and development of the Association.

Following the meeting, an alumnus who has built a long-term career at a company in Ibaraki Prefecture delivered a special talk. Drawing on her own career path and experiences working in Japan, she shared valuable insights with the audience. The session provided current students with a meaningful opportunity to reflect on their future career development and professional goals.

After the General Meeting, participants joined Ibaraki University's Homecoming Day event, where they enjoyed meals together and watched performances by current students. The event offered a valuable opportunity for interaction and networking across different generations and backgrounds.

The Ibaraki University International Alumni Association will continue to strengthen connections among alumni, current students, and the University, while striving to meet the expectations of former international students, former student tutors, and current students through a variety of meaningful activities in the future.
