International Exchange Blueberry Picking @Ami Campus(Wednesday, July 12)

On Wednesday, July 12, we organized a blueberry picking event at the Center for International Field Agriculture, Research & Education, Ami Campus, for the purpose of deepening friendship among international students and Japanese students from Ibaraki University, international students from Taiwan and Japanese students from Ibaraki Prefectural University of Health Sciences, and members of Ami International Exchange Association!

15 international and Japanese students and faculty members from Ibaraki University, 17 international and Japanese students from Ibaraki Prefectural University of Health Science, and 4 members of the Ami International Exchange Associaiton participated.

A sudden thunderstorm delayed the start of the event for about an hour, but once the event began, the weather improved and participants enjoyed talking with each other and picking blueberries.

After the picking experience, the participants enjoyed watermelong spliitting (suikawari) and deepened their friendship while eating watermelons together.

It was impressive to see the participants getting along well with each other regardless of university or nationality.
