Short-Term Study Abroad Program at Curtin University, Australia

Thirteen students joined the English Program at Curtin University from August 12 to September 3, 2023. Before the trip, all students set up their own goals and prepare for the English Program.

Many of the students traveled internationally for the first time due to the COVID-19 restrictions. They were nervous before they left Japan because it was their first time to homestay and learn English in English; however, all of them enjoyed their 3-week-long stay.

At the reflection meeting, one student said “I was inspired by other international students from other countries because they were actively participating in the class.” Another student said “It was hard to speak English at first, but gradually I was able to communicate smoothly with my classmates and host family.” They also learned other than learning English through interacting with people in Australia who are trying to save nature and environment.
