「今のシリアを知る―私たちにできることは何か」を開催しました（1月17日(金)）

1月17日（月）、茨城大学人文社会科学部多文化コミュニケーションゼミナールとグローバル教育センターが主催して、「今のシリアを知る―私たちにできることは何か」と題したイベントを行いました。茨城大学のシリア出身の留学生を講師として迎え、当事者の視点からシリアの現状についてお話しいただきました。 イベントには125名が参加し、オンラインフォームを介してたくさんの質問やコメントが届きました。参加者からは「当事者の立場からの考えや気持ちを知ることができてよかった」「自分にできることは何か、どう介入すべきなのかモヤモヤとした」などの声が聞かれました。

On Monday, January 17 with the collaboration of the Multicultural Seminar at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Ibaraki University, we co-hosted an event entitled "Understanding Syria Today: What can We do?" We invited an international students from Syria as a guest speaker to talk about the current situation in Syria. Participants commented, "it was great to know the thoughts and feelings of the people affected" and "I wondered what I could do and how I should intervene in this situation."
